Subtitle?[edit]

"A new rendering of the Watson legend" appears across the bottom of the front cover (depicted by an Image in the article). Three of the listed Reviews present that as the subtitle (LA Times, NYRB, and Orion iirc).

Perhaps we treat this as a subtitle: bold in the lead sentence; included in the {infobox} that this article needs. --P64 (talk) 16:20, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Posse or vigilantes?[edit]

I am responsible for wikilinks and the one in-line reference, no content. I have linked "posse" to Posse comitatus (common law) but on my reading of that article and Chokoloskee, Florida#Edgar Watson, Watson was killed by vigilantes: extralegal action; without cooperation of the sheriff. --P64 (talk) 16:20, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliographic data toward infobox?[edit]

Here is some from Peter Matthiessen. We have no articles on any of these three source novels. I'm not sure whether they should be listed in the {infobox book} this article needs, or some use of {{infobox book series}}, or only named and dated in the text.

  1. Killing Mister Watson (1990)
  2. Lost Man's River (1997)
  3. Bone by Bone (1999)
