Sextant only 60 degrees[edit]

I write from the Museum of Scholars in Khiva, Uzbekistan, where they display a 'sextants' of 90 degrees. There is a cross section model of Ulugh Beg's observatory where the 'sextant' appears to span 90 degrees. So I think the article needs amending. Also it's a bit difficult to reconcile with other articles (I'm not sure whether on Wikipedia or not) which say the navigational sextant was invented in the 18th century. Perhaps a disambiguation page is needed. If there's someone more knowledgeable than me and more experienced in the ways of Wikipedia who wishes take it up that might be helpful Nine-and-fifty swans (talk) 09:28, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
