The Overgate[edit]

I have changed the 'Related songs' section.

The song, at least in the well known recording by Belle Stewart, is very different from "Seventeen Come Sunday"

  • It lacks the essential question & answer sequence.
  • The girl is not reluctant (or doesn't pretend to be reluctant).
  • The sex is not clandestine.
  • The dénoument is different.
  • The humour is broad, not subtle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidCrosbie (talkcontribs) 13:06, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's my comment. I forgot to sign. DavidCrosbie (talk) 13:17, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sixteen come sunday[edit]

A version of this has "sixteen" instead of seventeen 2600:8801:FB13:6B00:F5AA:ED9A:E5A:58FF (talk) 05:17, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
