Discuss before editing[edit]

There have been some rather large edits to this page the last couple of days. I trust Joe Roe's editing, but still, I would be much more comfortable with this sort of thing if before cutting out big parts of the text that it is discussed here in the talk page first. I'd like to understand the philosophy and logic behind the big edits. If no response is forthcoming in the next few days, I'll revert the page back to what it was before the first major revision took place a couple of days ago. Thanks. --Saukkomies talk 15:40, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

At the beginning of Settlements, somebody (IP 86.52.101.203, 15-6-2016) mentions (with refs) new research suggesting more inhabitants. Then, under Largest…, Maydanets, 10.000 (or between 9.000 and 6.000) becomes 46.000 (or between 9.000 and 6.000) — which is absurd — and the anonymous contributor doesn’t change the reference there. I do not edit because I have no competence on the subject. --Dominique Meeùs (talk) 21:25, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
