Serum Solution[edit]

I removed the following sense of "serum":

  • A potion or chemical solution drunk or injected to modify one's body or abilities.

I could not confirm this meaning in the Oxford English Dictionary. AxelBoldt 13:45, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

second section, untitled[edit]

"Blood plasma, with clotting factors removed "
This is not really a good way of wording it, since blood plasma is only attained when anticoagulants are added and serum is what is left after blood is clotted and centrifuged. For the two to be so similar, the procedures to obtain them are quite different, and this explanation makes it seem as though you have serum, sprinkle some reagent and *poof*, you get serum. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.232.70.10 (talkcontribs) 18:55, December 13, 2006 (UTC)
