Starting out[edit]

Sorry, I forgot to post this before. I started this article from a translation I did of the Japanese version. You can see my translation here. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 01:41, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Existence etc[edit]

Was simply trying to clean up articles missing coordinates... The reference link on this page is dead (as it is on the Japanese page) and I can't find much about this place. Tried searching the kanji in the Ishigaki City and Okinawa Prefecture websites. Unfortunately the Okinawa Jinjacho doesn't seem to have a website yet. Google maps and the location on the Japanese article seem to point to the island of Ishigaki. Found this Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release, dating to 6 September 1996, which seems to mention the existence of a (precursor?) shrine on the islands. Also this Japan Times article, dated 1 May 2000, entitled 'China fumes over rightists' shrine on Senkaku Islands'. Plus images in this blog. Nothing much to help with those coordinates though.
