Staff Captain[edit]

Stop this crap, people, really. I don't care what American government says, but there NEVER was any mention of "Senior Captain" rank in any Sovier or modern Russian laws and regulations. Captain rank was always directly succeded by Major rank. It was present, though, in Imperial Russian army, where it was called "Staff-Captain" and was clearly a German import.

Quite right. The insignia on the picture is that of Captain, and there's no "Senior Captain" in Russian army. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.124.238.43 (talk) 21:36, August 20, 2007 (UTC)
Correct. In the Imperial Russian Army the rank above Captain was, indeed, Major. And still there was the rank of Staff Captain in the same army. But it doesn´t belong here because it actually was the rank junior to that of Captain. ...GELongstreet (talk) 18:24, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
