References removal[edit]

Many references were removed. This is not constructive approach - if reference is not the best one , pls add better reference , then remove old one. Some one may dislike any sentence , reference or article however Wikipedia is resource of information for people , not texts that everybody should like , were each word was written by lawyer. Be part of solution! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidy2001 (talkcontribs) 18:16, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason to delete history , especially concept. comment added by Davidy2001

There is no reason to include a mention of any particular conference presentation, it has no apparent significance. - MrOllie (talk) 11:45, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong, IEEE is biggest forum of electrical and electronic engineers , concept presented there was used is many different ways by

many designers all over the world! Davidy2001

By that logic we'd list IEEE conference presentations on thousands of articles. We don't, because even though IEEE is notable, 99.9% of what goes on at their conferences is not. I'll also note that it appears you have a conflict of interest with regard to that presentation and you should not be editing about it at all. - MrOllie (talk) 13:02, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Explaning[edit]

Security switch article is explaining , what it stands for . It is not reasonable that article virtual security switch exists , but what is security switch is not explained. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidy2001 (talkcontribs) 11:12, November 1, 2018 (UTC)

Rubbish. Despite the names being similar, a virtual security switch is a virtualised ethernet switch - only very loosely related to a switch. - Snori (talk) 08:05, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Example[edit]

Article on security switch should have section showing example ( or Problem example) exactly like other articles on this topic like virtual security switch. Without examples of implementation it is not easy to understand for new user. It is common practice to show implementation example for technical device - for patenting implementation examples are must. There is no reason to delete this topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidy2001 (talkcontribs) 14:17, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The only problem is that the topic of this article only exists as a concept - documented only by a decade-old patent. It's pointless you making up examples of what you think it might be used for, or how it works - when it doesn't actually exist. Sorry for being blunt, but all articles here need to be based in reality, and have Reliable Sources. - Snori (talk) 07:59, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Assumption that is does not actually exists is absolutely incorrect , there are devices on the market what are using security switch for disconnecting microphone and camera by hardware only, with description that it is operated by user action, software can not connect then. However those devices should not be clearly stated in the article , since it will be advertisement for those devices. But if someone want to find them - it can be easily done by making search for " smartphone  microphone switch" and " chip physically disconnects microphone" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidy2001 (talkcontribs) 14:26, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Article can be improved , everyone is welcomed to do that , but deleting test part by part is not improving article , it just making restoration more complicated.

Article test is reinstated to version before multiple trim / deletion , if someone can propose better wording it will help to improve the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidy2001 (talkcontribs) 15:13, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason to delete examples with products that are using security switch ! Especially when those products are at other Wikipedia acticles for expample Purism ( company). There is no sales data or advertisement in those examples - just fact about existing products. Davidy2001

There is no good reason to list particular products here, they do not serve to help the reader understand the topic. - MrOllie (talk) 11:43, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear MrOllie There are also real devices from Google, Lenovo, Harman, HP, Apple , Amazon , Facebook etc ! If you do not like mentioned devices pls replace them with other devices that you like ! But there is no reason to delete examples that were put by different people! It is important that folks can look at real implementation ( if they like) , not only at concept. when I started this article there was replay that this is "theoretical concept" with no implementation! Now when there are many devices on the market there is no reason to delete them. Davidy2001

Wikipedia is WP:NOT a product catalog, so listing any example is off-mission for building an encyclopedia. If you can't explain this so people can understand without suggesting particular products, you are not explaining this very well. - MrOllie (talk) 12:49, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is no catalog here , there are more then dozen different products ,here mentioned three examples ! What is your suggestion for real life examples? Davidy2001

Zero examples. Wikipedia is specifically not supposed to list examples, as I just said. - MrOllie (talk) 12:56, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
