what is this?[edit]

To editor Cypp0847: I am confused why you created this. I see you copied content from Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury. Also, how is this position different from Financial Secretary (Hong Kong)? We seem to have three articles on similar (if not the same) overlapping topic. @Chris troutman: Yes it is indeed a bit confusing. I hope this explanation helps:

The history of the cabinet ministers were as follows:
  • Secretary for Monetary Affairs --> Secretary for Financial Services --> Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury [FST]
  • Deputy Financial Secretary --> Secretary for Treasury --> (merged to FST)
The issue is that the original page of FST includes history of Deputy Financial Secretary and Secretary for Treasury but omitted the other two, so I created a new page for making it clearer. The created page of Secretary for the Treasury is a defunct position btw.
Meanwhile, Financial Secretary (Hong Kong) is a senior cabinet minister position, so it is kinda not invovled.
I hope this helps, as I am rewriting pages related to Hong Kong's public administration and cabinet ministers for clarity. J. Dann 14:58, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Cypp0847: Thanks for the explanation. Please make that clear on these articles as those of us who know nothing of Hong Kong don't know what the difference is.Chris Troutman (talk) 15:30, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
