Fish-fry batter Scraps/Scrumps called "Ducks" in parts of Suffolk.[edit]

In my youth in rural Suffolk, some Fish and Chips shops offered the fried batter scraps (which seemed good at the time ) by the name "ducks". One displayed worldly sophistication by adding "... with ducks, please." when ordering at the counter.
