Untitled[edit]

This article is basically rubbish. The author has lumped together the Merton Park "Scotland Yard" cinema shorts which were made from 1953 to 1961 with episodes of the ITV television series "New Scotland Yard" which was made between 1972 and 74. (Ambak51 (talk) 10:39, 25 July 2012 (UTC)) I agree. The page was an absolute mess and wholly inaccurate - not least of which in relation to the fact that Scotland Yard was originally made for cinema exhibition before finding a new audience when it was shown on television, and like you say the page also confused Scotland Yard with the later series New Scotland Yard. I've rewritten the introduction and amended the episode list. I've also added reference to a recent review of the DVD set. I'm not very good on formatting and would be grateful if someone could format the page a little better - but at least it's now much more factually accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.195.43.244 (talk) 12:08, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not a TV series[edit]

The headline at the top of the page describes this as a TV series. It was never a TV series, as it was made to be shown as supporting films in British cinemas. Just because the films have subsequently been shown on television doesn't mean they were made for television. Agreed. I have moved the page to a more appropriate name. Nick Cooper (talk) 08:22, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
