Creation date and pre-history[edit]

The constituency was created (or first used) in 1999? And prior to that date Scotland was an electoral region of several single-member constituenies, the region electing 'top-up' members to produce PR? Laurel Bush 13:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Nope. Prior to that we had 8 FPTP constituencies, not PR. --Mais oui! 11:06, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Elected members[edit]

Could we please refrain from highlighting candidates as "elected"? Nobody is elected until the count is complete. The count will not be complete until Monday evening; in the meantime, we shouldn't describe anyone as "elected" before they have been declared so by the relevant authority. — Zcbeaton (talk) 04:17, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Results maps.[edit]

The maps add no useful information to the page.

In fact, they can be misleading as they emphasise the size of the constituency rather than the number of votes cast. Pedantic.Papa (talk) 14:01, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Order of candidates[edit]

Do we need the order in which the candidates were elected under the d'Hondt system? It seems a rather obscure point. PatGallacher (talk) 18:48, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the order as it is confusing, especially with bracketed numbers already having another meaning in the table. Zoted (talk) 20:22, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
