Untitled[edit]

This purports to be about TRE. I was at TRE and lent my Wellington aircraft to the film makers for a scene of 'window' being deployed. No such scene appears in the DVD, but I recall seeing it in 1946, whether in a cinema or in TRE theatre I know not. The acting is ghastly, facts are erroneous as one might expect and life was not as depicted.

Not sure I agree about the acting, - the aim seems to have been to keep things to light comedy level wherever possible (boffins are university scientists, therefore not heroes, but unconventional, therefore funny, but they help win the war) - but I was 10 when I first saw the film. I agree the DVD uses a cut version of the original release. I don't recall the 'window' sequence, but the last third of the DVD loses at least two other scenes.Delahays (talk) 02:16, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
