Title of show[edit]

Although the pun is painfully obvious to native English speakers, should we not point out in the article for the benefit of non-English speakers that the title of the show is a play on words on "to be up shit creek [without a paddle]", meaning to be in a difficult or untenable position with no means at hand to escape from it"? "A Little Bit Alexis"[edit]

I've created a stub for "A Little Bit Alexis". ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:24, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Precedents[edit]

Should there be a section about TV shows that might have provided precedence to comedy about rich folks falling on hard times, such as Professor and Lovey Howell on Gilligan's Island, or Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor on Green Acres? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.244.137.86 (talk) 15:07, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, per WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH and WP:SYNTHESIS since there hasn't been any coverage in reliable sources making such associations. — Starforce13 16:04, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Schitt's Creek wardrobe[edit]

The wardrobes on the show are fabulous. Why is nothing written about the person or people behind the wardrobes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:B940:F2D0:9D99:273A:9FC:928F (talk) 17:35, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Awards and nominations[edit]

There is ample source material to support the historic nature of the show’s Emmy performance but no reliable source appears to exist to support anonymous edit regarding All in the Family, Golden Girls, etc having all principal actors winning Emmys. Additionally, this appears to be Arbitrary as it seems the Simpsons can also claim wins for each principal cast member (unconfirmed). RyeCityRoller (talk) 02:30, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Characters[edit]

FYI, there's a draft article in need of work at DRAFT: List of Schitt's Creek characters -- 65.92.134.182 (talk) 05:00, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Main Character Status[edit]

Just changed the number needed to qualify for main character status as the actors who play Ray Butani, Wendy Kurtz, and Jake would all qualify otherwise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.144.176.204 (talk) 11:18, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers in Case and Characters section[edit]

I don't think the Cast and Characters section should contain spoilers about developments in the later seasons, like Stevie becoming the motel owner or Patrick getting married to David. These aren't episode summaries where spoilers are to be expected, it's a cast list where people look to check if they recognize someone from a different show. It's a bit jarring to see a relatively major plot development in this section. If no one objects I will change it.

Duration of season 4 excessive[edit]

The duration of season 4 is quoted as from January 9, 2018 to December 19, 2018 although it is just 13 episodes. This gives a wrong impression as actually the episodes were from January 19, 2018 to April 10, 2018 and a Christmas special on December 18, 2018 in preparation to launching of season 5 in January 2019. So it is far better to say "January 19, 2018 to April 10, 2018 and a special on December 18, 2018" This way the confusion is clarified and season 4 is in line with all the other seasons. werldwayd (talk) 07:37, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Season 1 Split[edit]

Hello! I have been working on a draft for the first season and was wondering if a split would be needed. I tried to start a conversation on the LOE article but nobody responded. Draft:Schitt's Creek (season 1)
