Untitled[edit]

This page is absolutely ridiculous. The history section is written in first person, and I'm pretty sure phrases such as "I guess..." and "probably due to..." belong in a middle school report, much less an encyclopedia. I knew nothing of this city until I visited this page, and it makes me glad I don't live there! -jett

I actually do live here and that was really mean. If you're bothered by the perspective, change it! The history is effin' spot on. At least this middle schooler tried! I learned a lot from him! I am actually more glad I live here now! Don't just whine, broseph. Also, whoever denied the shirt bumper sticker edit, that's true. I mean, I did go a liiiiiittle over the top with the percentage (probably lower) but if you lived here, you'd see that people have them on their cars pretty often, although more so when the city was a youngling. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.183.234.67 (talk) 07:57, 17 October 2007 (UTC) Dear "-jett", NO, U —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.19.14.38 (talk) 08:05, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Expert[edit]

I have put an expert tag on the article and will forward it to the Texas History expert page. Also, please be civil V. Joe (talk) 02:19, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seems that no Texas SME has stepped up to work on this. But I really don't see a need for an expert -- the article actually needs formatting IAW WP:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline. With the clean up I've done, perhaps the mess is more addressable. --S. Rich (talk) 16:48, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
