Wow, Trisapeace, you did a wonderful job at hunting down information. I am truly impressed. Great job. Masterhatch

Thanks, it was a project I did for school and the island's history is just so interesting that I was shocked when there wasn't very much information on it. Trisapeace

A couple of weeks ago, I ran across the newcastle island site on wikipedia and had noticed that it was only a few lines long. I did a quick search on the net and used my memory from my many visits there (although it has been almost 10 years since my last visit) and expanded the site. What you did is truly amazing. i didn't realise that there was even that much info on the island. Thanks Masterhatch

Article Title Change[edit]

I propose that the title of this article be changed to reflect that the name of the park is changing. It is now listed on BC Parks as Newcastle Island Marine Provincial Park (Saysutshun). Locally, it is often referred to as Saysutshun Newcastle Island, or just Saysutshun. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KTRollwagen (talkcontribs) 22:17, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Title change again[edit]

I see the article was moved from Newcastle Island Marine Provincial Park to Newcastle Island Marine Provincial Park (Saysutshun). According to here it's simply Saysutshun Park yet the BC gov calls it Saysutshun (Newcastle Island Marine) Park. I'll move it to Saysutshun (Newcastle Island Marine) Park to reflect what the BC gov is calling it. Masterhatch (talk) 00:38, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Newcastle Island[edit]

This is known as Newcastle Island. Nobody refers to it as previous comments with an alternate name. It doesn't exist. It's destructive to history and culture and an insult to the majority of people that live here. It's the known name, live with it, revisionist history practices are toxic. 2001:569:6FF4:5D8D:0:63:D4B7:9D01 (talk) 00:24, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
