Proposed merge[edit]

Normally, fires that start approximately at the same time in the same place are lumped in the same article. I think Sayre Fire and Montecito Tea Fire should be merged into November 2008 California wildfires. -- King of ♠ 01:15, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong Oppose -- These are separate fires in different counties, and more than 100 miles away from each other. Also, the Sayre fire will go down in history as the worst fire in the City of Los Angeles in half a century. A fire of such importance warrants its own article. Even if there were to be a general article for November 2008 California wildfires, there should still be a separate article on Sayre fire. See, e.g., Santiago Fire and October 2007 California wildfires. Cbl62 (talk) 01:23, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have created an overall article for the November 2008 Southern California wildfires which then cross-references the Sayre Fire, Montecito Tea Fire, and Freeway Fire in Orange County. The new article allows for documentation of the fires as a whole, while still permitting more detailed reporting on a major fire like Sayre.Cbl62 (talk) 02:51, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lies more lies and more lies trying to protect a corrupt ghovernment : I am ashamed that wikipedia will not investigat the truth before publishing such obvious lies to protect small government agencies trying to increase their span and range: the purpose of the LOPEZ FIRE and THE SAYRE FIRE and THE STATION FIRE WAS AND IS TO EXPAND THE COUNCIL DISTRICT OF ZEV SO HE CAN TERRAFORM FEDERAL LAND INTO A MAJOR DUMP IN SYLMAR and to implement new roads as related and forbidden by the EPA undwer rulings from previous environtemental impact rerports hired by these aghency themselves.. wake up and dont be so fuckin g stupid you fucking worthless assholes...get your head out of your ass before you publish shit that you know nothing about

Picture[edit]

Hey guys, i just uploaded a pic for the Spanish article of Incendio de Sayre and i thought that u might wanna change your pic instead of having an aerial pic.. --Vrysxy ¡Californication! 00:36, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I added your picture to the article. I have my doubts about the fair use claim on the aerial picture, so free-licensed images are very welcome! --Amble (talk) 17:08, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
