Rare[edit]

I presume invit meant that it's a bit geared to a UK reader :P not that the sausage sarnie was rare in the uk. I'd edit it to be a little more worldly, but to be honest, I've never heard of it outside the UK - putting two huge fried sausages with maybe a fried egg and tommy k in between two hunks of bread is such an british thing anyway :P Caseykcole (talk) 16:12, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, that has to be the most unappealing and unconvincing egg 'n' sausage butty I've seen, and I've eaten British Rail sausage sarnies. A better photo is needed of cheap sausages sliced lengthwise and served on sliced white bread. Probably with too much cheap margarine, non-branded red sauce or Daddies Sauce and served up in a paper bag that is greasy before you even get it. Proper food of the Gods, rather than the current picture of two fried swags, a messed up fried egg and two brown slices on the side. SandJ-on-WP (talk) 13:52, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not Rare[edit]

The Sausage Sandwich, especially the Italian version with Peppers and Onions (on a roll) is hugely popular in the US, especially at carnivals, beaches, and fairs. They are also sold in most US delis as well as food stands on nearly every street corner of cities like New York and Philadelphia. Also many Hot Dog places serve Polish, Italian, Mexican, and German sausage sandwiches in addition to their regular dogs.

Hangover remedy[edit]

I wasted many years of my life drinking to excess and socializing with others who did likewise. I do not recall ever hearing anyone suggest that a sausage sandwich might alleviate hangover symptoms. Doug Shaver 00:01, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
