Very POV[edit]

This whole piece reads as very POV. Remarks such as “Heavily influenced by the American show Saturday Night Live (in particular its use of guest hosts)” go completely unsupported - other than the title, direct comparisons are needed to justify the similarities (or lack thereof) between the two; personally I don’t think the comparison stands, as the U.K. show was not a largely regular ensemble cast performing sketch comedy, but usually disparate changing acts presenting more stand-up than sketches, so what is the “heavy” influence? There also is a degree of POV in “The show notoriously featured comic duo Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall in their act The Dangerous Brothers.” What exactly was the noteriety of this act more than others, and did they appear enough to have any defining part in the SL history, in the way that Ben Elton and Herry Enfield had? SL was a bit controversial politically, granted, with Elton’s anti-Thatcher rants etc., but by the time it ran, there’d already been things like O.T.T. showing Malcolm Hardee’s balloon dance, so were the Dangerous Brothers bits really that controversial? Frday Night Live[edit]

You mention "..Friday Night Live, a shorter and slightly more tightly-formatted show..". It was actually the same length as Season 2 of Saturday Live. Season 1 was 90 minutes, season 2 was 75 minutes, and FNL was also 75 minutes. Stocko123 (talk) 22:31, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
