Please discuss things here before deleting large chunks of referenced text again[edit]

I note that User Caracas2000 has again edited this article down to what effectively is a stub. However, I do concede much of the text was perhaps overlong and did not make clear what a key part Mariño played in the achievement of Venezuelan independence. I have, therefore, restored the text, but worked on it to make Mariño's role more prominent and removed a bit of the excess detail - though more work may need to be done here.

Please, if you feel like a massive deletion of referenced text again, discuss the reasons for it here on this page and just don't wipe out most of the article. Oh, and by the way, Mariño seized power for a short time and therefore, I believe, he should be referred to as at least an Interim President of Venezuela, but am willing to discuss this further if you wish.
