Note that Sandfield Road is a famous location in Oxford. J. R. R. Tolkien's major Lord of the Rings triology was published while he lived here and the attentions of fans finally led to him moving. — Jonathan Bowen (talk) 22:51, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the two notable residents in this road, Hugo Dyson and J. R. R. Tolkien, both members of the Inklings with important literary connections, warrant this article, so I have removed the "mergeto" Oxford notice, which I think is far to general an article for this information anyway. — Jonathan Bowen (talk) 11:30, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
