Samuel Johnson → Dr. Samuel Johnson —(Discuss) Since the Feb 2006 page move, 6 new entries have been added to the Samuel Johnson (disambiguation) page including Sam Houston Johnson, a Presidential sibling, Samuel Ealy Johnson, Jr., a Presidential father, Samuel Ealy Johnson, Sr., a Presidential grandfather, Samuel Johnson (footballer), an active footballer, and Samuel Curtis Johnson, Sr. the patriarch of the richest family in Wisconsin. The primacy of Dr. Samuel Johnson versus the remaining field of Samuel Johnsons should be reconsidered. This move would enable replacement of the dab page at Samuel Johnson TonyTheTiger 06:34, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He also opposed legislation which would have discriminated against his german speaking constituents.^[1] He is remembered for attacking the Ku Klux Klan on the floor of the Texas legislature during a time when many of his colleagues were Klan sympathizers.^[2] He was also instrumental in the legislation that enabled the state of Texas to acquire the Alamo property in San Antonio, enabling that monument to be preserved as an important part of American history.

Lyndon Johnson and Christadelphians[edit]

Why is the fact that Lyndon Johnson planned to join the Christadelphians in this article? It may belong in the article about Lyndon, but why in this article about his father?Bill (talk) 03:34, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete?[edit]

The article ends rather abruptly with his business failure in 1920. He lived another 17 years and served additional terms in the legislature. Presumably something should be added about his later life.Bill (talk) 03:54, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
