Android 4.2.2[edit]

There is no over-the-air update to Android 4.2.2 available on my device. I believe this statement is inaccurate. Don't want to provide false information to potential shoppers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.102.142.165 (talk) 00:31, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Both the country that I am in and the news around the world agree that there is already an official over the air update available [1] [2]. I myself have updated my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 over-the-air. Maybe the country you are in has not yet released the official over the air update so therefore its still accurate, maybe just not in your country. It may be available in your country, but I think the article should be clear this update is not available in the United States. I think it would be helpful to provide accurate information to potential buyers in countries where this update is not available. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.102.142.165 (talk) 00:58, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I had asked my friend who currently lives in the US and has the Galaxy Note 8.0 and he said that he was also able to update his to 4.2.2 version OTA. He bought his device in the US so maybe your unit is just problematic, therefore revert.JeromesandilanicoJSD (talk) 07:40, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have the GT-N5110 in the United States and I confirmed with Samsung directly that an update is not yet available. Why don't we just agree to change the article to "in some areas" because otherwise I feel it's intentionally deceptive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.102.142.165 (talk) 23:27, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
