Unknown name element 'Sam-'[edit]

Could it be related to Samr/Sæmingr? The island Samsø or the Swedish town Säm? (which albeit are all nebulous in their meanings as well, but may mean 'dark/murky' (As 'Samr' has been attested), a "meeting place" (samle) or the sea a sea-outlet (sae(m?)-)....? 65.102.7.165 (talk) 02:50, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
