Band of Brothers[edit]

I think some of his most interesting work was done in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers directed by Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg (sp). I think this should be added to his biography page as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.126.247.154 (talk) 14:41, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sam Rockwell was NOT in Band of Brothers. The actor you are thinking of, who admittedly does bare a striking resemblance to Rockwell, is Rick Gomez. But don't feel too badly, you're far from the first to make this mistake. At one time, a role in an episode of "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" was on Rockwell's imdb.com filmography, when in fact, it was Rick Gomez. This mistake has since been fixed. Here is Rick Gomez's imdb.com page, where you can see his full fimlography and pictures: [1] [2] Also, scroll down to number 12 and you'll see how common this mistake actual is. [3]

Rockwell/Nixon coincidences[edit]

I've looked around the web but found no mention of this. Sam Rockwell seems to have a curious relationship to Richard Nixon. He was born 5 November 1968, the exact day of the US presidential election at which Nixon defeated Hubert Humphrey. And he appears in Frost/Nixon, which is about the aftermath of the 1972 election. Has anyone else noted this odd little factoid? -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 10:16, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace Discrepancy[edit]

The page lists two birthplaces - Daly City, CA and San Mateo, CA - one with a citation which may or may not be true, the other just in the sidebar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.14.4.44 (talk) 23:17, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Meisner training/William Esper Studio[edit]

Someone added Rockwell to a list of Meisner trained actors. I reverted the edit, as I could not locate a reference. In addition, I made a notation regarding Rockwell's purported training at William Esper Studios. If anyone can provide a citation, I will gladly restore the edit. Somebody didn't watch the film or even bother reading the synopsis for it[edit]

"In 2009, he starred in the critically acclaimed science fiction film Moon, directed by Duncan Jones. His performance as a lonely astronaut on a long-term solo mission to the Moon was widely praised"

His character is not on a long-term mission to the moon. His character begins on the moon and stays on the moon the entire film until the very end.

Next time try doing some basic research. 2001:569:FDF1:4C00:D611:A3FF:FEB4:1B3B (talk) 16:58, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
