Article Name[edit]

This is an article about a woman who had established notability on her own accord before marrying into a royal family. In marrying, she received a new name and added a new dimension to her notability. However, this did not erase her former name from public prominence.

Today she is widely known by two different names -- each one is preferred by a distinct audience. In keeping with the spirit of both WP:MAIDEN and WP:NCROY, the title of this article should reflect both names. Therefore, I have changed the name of the article to Princess Salwa Aga Khan (Kendra Spears) for both clarity and balance.

It should be at Kendra Spears. CookieMonster755 01:14, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Princess Salwa Aga KhanKendra Spears – She is much better known by her maiden name of Kendra Spears than by her married royal name of Princess Salwa Aga Khan. Move per WP:COMMONNAME. CookieMonster755 01:15, 11 October 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. IffyChat -- 09:51, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Two different situations with the Duchess of Sussex. CookieMonster755 05:14, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per WP:COMMONNAME. Rreagan007 (talk) 03:11, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. COMMONNAME post-marriage includes "Princess". On a COMMONNAME survey of sources, sources dating from before the marriage can't be considered, because the facts of her name changed. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 03:20, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Those interested in her pre-marital reputation are likely to know of her transition from professional modeling to royal consort, as she has been married and utilizing her royal title since 2013. Since 2015, she's become known as the mother of the future Aga Khan. This transitional name comes too late to be needed. FactStraight (talk) 05:28, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
