Why do you keep changing this to a "civil township" when it is a "general law township" via the Michigan General Law Township Act?

Simple, there is no article on General Law townships and the subject IS covered in the article on civil townships. A separate article on michigan townships covering both charter and general law would be nice, but if such an article were to be created, we'd want to go through and link all of Michigan townships to the article. As it is, nearly all Michigan township articles link to either the civil township or the charter township. Bkonrad --- I live in this community. It is a general law township per the township supervisor. Why are you so passionately fighting the truth of the matter? Even if a civil twp is the exact same as a general law twp, why are you still fighting for the salem twp entry to be a civil twp? Again, the head of the salem twp government says that this is a general law twp. User:Anonymous

Because there is no article for general law townships and the way that you are linking to List_of_cities,_villages,_and_townships_in_Michigan is just bad style according to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you really, really want the text to read as general law, then fine, I'll pipe the link.
