  • Hi SportingFlyer, article is new enough (created 21 November, nominated the same day), long enough (2350 B), free of copyvio ([1]), neutral, suitably referenced. Nom only has one DYK credit per [2], so is exempt of QPQ. ALT0 is a bit misleading because the article says "the Safari is noted for being one of the resorts which helped turn Scottsdale into", therefore saying that the opening of the hotel led to the city becoming a resort destination (implying it was the only factor) is not completely correct. ALT1 is iffy because you feel the need to specify that it "claimed to have" in the article, so how can we definitively say that it did in the alt? ALT2 is decently interesting, but I struggled to verify it, because both of the newspaper sources say the hotel will host the teams, but there's nothing confirming they actually did. Also, not necessarily a DYK need, but I'd like to see the Newspapers.com articles properly clipped and formatted. Eddie891 Talk Work 22:33, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • For a hook that I find interesting and verifiable, how about:
    • ALT4 ... that Scottsdale, Arizona, repealed its ban on dancing so that the Safari Hotel could open a nightclub?
    • Alternatively, the ALTS I mentioned above could likely be slightly rephrased to line up with sourcing. Overall, really nice work here, just some minor things. Cheers, Eddie891 Talk Work 22:33, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • @Eddie891: I like ALT4 - struggled with the hook a bit with this one. May I suggest:
        • Sure, I've just modified ALT4 to fit that suggestion. Now we just need someone else to review my hook, because I cannot approve my own. Eddie891 Talk Work 23:11, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi, I came by to finish up this review. I formatted all the Newspapers.com clips. (In future, SportingFlyer, please do this while you're posting the clips.) ALT4 is hooky, hook ref verified and cited inline. ALT4a is not verified, as the source says the nightclub was added during the hotel additions of 1958 and 1960, and does not give a definite date for the reversal on the ban. ALT4 good to go.
