"Lake Superior seldom gives up her dead”[edit]

The statement "she defied the adage that 'Lake Superior seldom gives up her dead'” seems to be proven, not defied by this incident. Seldom means rarely, not never. By 'giving up her dead' in this case, it was one of those rare instances. I think the fact that all 17 dead (as opposed to say one out of 17) were recovered makes it an exception to "seldom". That said, I wonder if that quotation should be cited/credited to Gordon Lightfoot? Echoedmyron (talk) 01:17, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
