Holes are not the same[edit]

The article claims: "SSI CEB motherboards have the same mounting holes and the same IO connector area as ATX motherboards, although SSI CEB motherboards are larger in size than ATX motherboards." Perhaps this is true of some boards, but I have a dual-processor Xeon CEB board that definitely does not match all the holes in an ATX/EATX-only case; one of the six board-mounting holes do not match (hole G in the spec), and all eight of the Xeon heatsink mounting holes are uniformly about an inch offset. You really need a case with CEB holes or the weight of your heatsinks will not be supported, which could damage the motherboard.

Since the article is obviously wrong, I'm going to change it. I can't find anything else to cite besides personal experience and the spec, which is already cited... Web searches turn up only message board posts, 80% of which are of the form "CEB is ATX-derived, go for it dude!", with no followup. 75.73.97.19 (talk) 17:07, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suppressed display of broken links[edit]

The SSI Forum website is now at ssiforum.org. The old direct links to specifications are broken. SSI Forum users now have to request specifications, rather than download them directly. I've suppressed display of the old links, but have not deleted the text yet. If anyone can find direct links please update and reenable display. If no direct links are found within the next 6 months (say), we can clean up the article Ged Davies (talk) 20:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Consider rename[edit]

I would consider renaming this page "Server System Infrastructure Forum" and listing most of the current content under major heading "Specifications", with a linkable sub-heading for each of the three, on equal terms. — MaxEnt 03:32, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
