I question whether "Soft Gamma Repeater 1900+14 Announces Rebirth of the Christ Child" should be considered a valid source for anything. It appears to be a New Age religious text intent on "proving" things like the relationship between Mithraism and the Epistles of St. Paul. It does not seem credible. 74.8.112.195 (talk) 21:11, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the link

Which is essentially some new age rubbish that has no place in a scientific article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.58.218.214 (talk) 02:26, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

‏SGR 1900+14 ?[edit]

About this

Despite the large distance to this SGR, estimated at 20,000 light years, the burst had large effects on the Earth's atmosphere.

I don't think the information is correct, the atmosphere was not originally mentioned in any of the sources. One of the sources says that the distance is 15,000 and not as I mentioned? Clerk18890 (talk) 21:08, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
