Proposed merger of sadhana and sadhaka[edit]

In clarification, sadhana is the discipline or practice, sadhaka is the practitioner or the one engaged in discipline. Does tantra and tantrika and yoga and yogi establish a precedent? I hold that there will eventually be enough sourced and referenced content for independent encyclopædic entries.

Support - I support merging these articles as suggested. GlassFET 15:57, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - I oppose the merging of these articles and agree with User:B9 hummingbird hovering as to the definitions of the two words in question. Plumbing and plumber are perhaps examples outside the yoga/hinduism space that suggest the practice and the practitioner should be kept separate. SourabhJ (talk) 00:32, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: I think they should be separate if there really was enough material to warrant two separate articles. But this one clearly hasn't evolved into much yet. How about we merge and have a subsection for Sadhaka on Sadhana, and if it grows much at all then split it out again.-Owlmonkey (talk) 18:13, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
