Sun TV[edit]
Someone added Sun TV's (CKXT) analog and digital signals with a "coming soon" designation. Since Sun's now broadcasting digitally on 20, I've removed the "coming soon" label. I also removed the analog entry completely... although they have a license from the CRTC, they have no plans currently to broadcast analog in Ottawa. 199.246.40.54 (talk) 19:27, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
The correct location of Ryan Tower is 45 degrees 30 minutes 09 75 50 60 . Icould not figure out how to amend the location
Origin of Tower[edit]
Was this really moved from CJOH's Hazeldean tower? I think this may have been CFRA-FM's original tower from 1961 [1], and the CBC bought it from Frank Ryan's estate in 1968 (see article referring to CFRA as the previous landlord of the Ryan Tower ), and moved its transmitters from Lanark Ave and CJOH's transmitter from Hazeldean.
Origin of Tower Name[edit]
Are there any reputable sources that refer to the tall TV-FM tower at Camp Fortune as the "Ryan Tower". Bell Media, owner of a recently dismantled shorter tower at the same site, referred to that shorter tower as the "Ryan Tower", as it was the remnant of the tower originally moved to the Camp fortune site in 1961 to be used for CFRA-FM, the predecessor to CFMO-FM and now CKKL-FM.

Agreed: there is a need for reputable naming sources. There are in fact two towers on the site. The article implies that the tall (750ft) tower was taken down and replaced Sunday November 4, 2012 -- which is not correct. I was hiking past the site that day and saw the old (smaller) tower down on the ground. Both the new and replacement towers are much shorter than the tall broadcast one which remains in place. Furthermore I presume that the original Frank Ryan tower was the one that was moved to the site and then taken down Sunday November 4, 2012.
