Replica[edit]

I believe the Manchester Museum has a replica of the cross.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 09:43, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's a plaster-cast copy and is mentioned here and here. But it's quite garish. I'm not sure of it's notable. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:37, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The translated verses are given at this BBC page. The cross was today discussed in Episode 2 of BBC Radio 4's The Matter of the North: "The Glories of Northumbria": [1], featuring Dr Chris Jones of the University of St Andrews. Should the translation of the verses be added to the article, or would this be too much duplication of the explanation at Dream of the Rood? Martinevans123 (talk) 17:55, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Have added Scottish Gaelic to the IPA pronunciation /rɪvl/, as per this source. But it does not appear at Ruthwell. Is it used only for in the name of the cross? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:34, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
