The "Royal Arch Loop" is a combination of the "Royal Arch Route" and the South Bass Trail. The "Royal Arch Route" has different start and end points, thus is cannot be a "loop". The "Royal Arch Loop" is the name that refers to starting down the South Bass Trail and reaching the start of the "Royal Arch Route," then following that trail back to the South Bass Trail and heading up that trail back to where you started, thus it is a loop. I will wait a couple of days, and then move this page back. If you need a reference just look at the GC NPS Map, and although my own research isn't allowed on Wikipedia, I have hiked these trails multiple times. The Royal Arch Route is the name of the actual route in the GC. Maybe a separate page is in order, or when this page gains info, a section about looping can be put in. --Josh Matthews (TalkContribs) 01:03, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry it took me a while to find the link, until I realized its already on the page itself :P, here is the map, as you can see the route itself is named as such, and the trip as a whole is referred to as the "Loop". Map --Josh Matthews (TalkContribs) 01:11, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
