GA Review[edit]

Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch

I'll be reviewing this article. Seeing as how your page said you may be gone until the 23rd, I'll hold off completing this review for a few days so that the hold period isn't very long. Wizardman 17:39, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. I hope my new broadband provider can give me a reliable connection. My last provider couldn't and the new one cannot activate it until the 23rd (I think). At present I am grabbing the occasional hour online in the house of my daughter and son-in-law. Look forward to your review. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 10:13, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Just a note before I start the review, Ref #5 (oxforddnb) requires a subscription. I think there's a template to add for something like that, but I don't know what it is. If you could tweak that while you're on before the 23rd, that'd be great. If you want to wait to tackle that until the rest of the review's added, that's fine too. I've added a template and hope it is what you requested. I shall not be online at home until the 24th (provided activation goes OK) and on the 25th will be out all day, but I should ((I hope) be able to deal with the review in the hold period. Many thanks for your understanding. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 10:47, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That addition looks good. Now, here's the rest of the review:
  • "His estate amounted to a little over £51,670" Was this at the time? I presume so, it should be reflected as such.
  • I've added an inflation template to this and the other values in the article which sorts it out and adds interest to other parts of the article. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 10:04, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • "In 1834 he published his Hunting Songs, which ran to eight editions. Titles of the songs include "A Good Merry Gallop for Me!" and "Farmer Dobbin"." I'm sure this is cited later but I'd prefer one right after.

I'll put it on hold for a week, I'll be busy myself the next few days, so you can take your time on it. It's a really nice article, if that's all I found then it should be dealt with pretty quickly. Wizardman 19:49, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Everything checks out, and I'll now pass the article. Wizardman 04:44, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
