Early comments[edit]

I Think Some major changes need to be made to this page soon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michaelbeckham (talkcontribs) 19:09, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
What did you have in mind? Cnwb 22:13, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I didn't expect this much content on rove's article.EmileVictor 10:51, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Something is wrong with the image Mike — Preceding undated comment added 17:09, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, there is too much content on Rove. The only thing really needed was a short paragraph about how much of his 'material' is remarkably similar to that seen on older episodes of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Prof. — Preceding undated comment added 12:01, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think that's a good idea? Most of the stuff On Conan and Jay are just rip offs of things done 20 years ago on Carson so theres not much original stuff around anymore anyways. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michaelbeckham (talkcontribs) 13:01, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article seems a bit anti-Rove. Any chance of avoiding POV? --Rilstix 11:42, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe someone should add how "What the.." is extremely similar to Jay Leno's Headlines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.84.19.36 (talk) 13:36, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

Where did this section go? This article needs a second viewpoint. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lemming2005 (talkcontribs) 14:41, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

David Tench[edit]

Should reference to that David Tench show and conjecture about the status of Rove Live be in the article? It's all unsupported hearsay and shouldn't be included.--Ninevah 22:41, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed - Mike Beckham 00:48, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Carrie Bickmore[edit]

I don't think the article on Carrie Bickmore should be merged with this article, as she is not solely identifiable through her work on Rove Live. She has been a newsreader for Nova100 before she started contributing to RoveLive. Ninevah 01:51, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

If no one does some expanding it should be merged. - Mike Beckham 06:11, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Leave it, that way it might inspire someone to do something about expanding her stub. If you merge it she'll be left with one line somewhere which is just pointless. - senex
I've just elaborated on Carrie Bickmore's news segment on Rove Live. I think that the Carrie Bickmore article should stay as it is, because she is first and foremost a news anchor with Nova100. Even though the Rove article is already quite lengthy and could probably be shortened, Carrie Bickmore's news segment should be included in the Rove Live article.
I Think that the Carrie Bickmore article should be merged, she has as much to do with Rove Live than she did with Nova, I recon that more people will recognise her from Rove than Nova anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.120.148 (talkcontribs)
What? What crap. She's been on Nova for 4 years and on Rove for one. I completely disagree with the merge as there is much information seemingly omitted from here. I'm not completely aware of all fo teh details specifically, but I understand Bickmore to be more than notable enough to warrant her own WP page. I'll see what I can dig up, but I think there is 100% reason she should keep her own page.
One thing I do agree on is that the page needs some definite improvement. As I said, I'll see what I can do. I also impore others who belive she belongs on WP, then please pitch in with as much (citable) information as possible. And cite it damnit!
--lincalinca 12:37, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No merging. The show Rove Live is unknown [will it continue???(ever?)], and if Carrie goes on to become Channel 10 5pm News Reader and win Gold Logie 'the best newsreader' of the year award in 5 years, there could be some issues untying it with Rove Live. Keep it for the time being. themit 10:32, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This should not be merged. She is identifiable outside this television program and to merge her in this article would suggest that she is only part of Rove Live. Especially when she has had a previous job that has led her into the position on this show, this needs to be cited seperatly. Simply because the article is small doesnt mean it should be merged with another article. Jarryd Moore 16:26, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal removed. 2 for, 6 against Discussion lasting 3 months. Jarryd Moore 16:33, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

I think the article should be moved back to Rove Live, because the Rove website has Rove Live and Rove [Live] written on it, and I can't see Live written in lowercase anywhere. talk to JD wants e-mail 09:57, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, Fixed - Mike Beckham 11:06, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Words of Wisdom[edit]

In the former show elements section, it fails to mention 'Words of Wisdom' with Dave Callahan, in where Dave would say words that rhymed, such as: 'Contraband', 'Peter Vandahoogaband' etc etc Also his bearded viking pagents aren't listed either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.134.239.230 (talk) 14:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That segment is listed under it's under it's name: Words that sound better when said by Dave--Steven X (talk) 14:37, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

20 Bucks in 20 Seconds and The Final Five[edit]

Where's the information on these two segments? They're quite substantial, and have been around for quite some time ("20 Bucks in 20 Seconds" changed into "The Final Five"). It should have something along the lines of: "Rove interviews guests on the show and asks them a series of questions..." etc. There is quite a lot of information on this page, the only problem is, a lot of it is incomplete. I hope someone fixes it up soon.  :\ Thanks guys --Rhys_l (talk) 09:43, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Rudd[edit]

I think we should make a page for kevin rudd pm, it may only be 3 minutes long, but there have Been a substantial amount of installments —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.209.147.218 (talk) 15:25, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rove has joked about the show's end countless times, just wait until the end of the show. --114.78.182.252 (talk) 11:24, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alright but didnt you hear before he just did the bbq sketch this is the last show forever--Pauldonald86 (talk) 11:18, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't you hear him after her announced the show's end and then grab another cup and said "Hey you have another cup for next the show S**t!" --114.78.182.252 (talk) 11:24, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

he said s**t as a joke because theres not going to be a show next week. deal with it--Pauldonald86 (talk) 11:41, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where's The Proof That This Happened?[edit]

Hey I just saw a quote in the article:

"However, rumours appeared the day before the 2009 finale of Rove in that "staff on his TV show were told this week to look for alternative work next year."

Where did the writer of this quote get their information from? I highly doubt that staff members would have been told to look for alternative work. Yes Rove probably told them that the show wouldn't be continuing but as far as telling them to look for other work goes I think the staff would be able to work that out for themselves. I'm not saying I don't believe this happened but it sounds a bit strange to me. Perhaps if you told us where you heard it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.217.232.79 (talk) 11:14, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
