Untitled[edit]

This may very well be the worst article I've ever read on Wikipedia. Would someone who knows more about Ross than I do please re-write this dreck?

"This may very well be the worst article I've ever read on Wikipedia." I was just about to type that! Now I don't have to.

It's seriously the worst article I've read here. Not even close to a neutral point of view. In fact, it has 2 opposite Non Neutral Points of View. First, it seems like its praising Ross, then it attacking him for his Blood Brothers work. I might as well find time to re-write it myself.

I will re-write this[edit]

This article needs lots of help with neutrality and clarity. I helped clean up and streamline Fred Durst, and will do the same for this once I get some time. - Stick Fig 03:15, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I took out a lot of the blatant POV, someone who knows more can reenter any valuable information in an encyclopediac form.

- The section on the Blood Brothers needs a lot of work. In fact, it probably needs removing entirely. I don't know about anyone here, but I wouldn't consider any of the songs on Piano Island to be "radio friendly". When was the last time you heard them on a radio station? I sure as hell have never. Plus, Robinson didn't write the songs longer, the band did. Just because he did an actual decent job of producing the album doesn't mean hes a "radio rock" producer (although some of the lame bands he's produced for probably do support this). I'll edit this myself if noone else does soon. Olliemilne 19:37, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-OK, I did it anyway. I'm not sure on some of the wording, so change it if you can make more sense. I also removed the words "genre-defining" in discussing Glassjaw's albums; quite a stretch really, I wouldn't say they really defined the hardcore genre with those albums, even if they were influential. -I would agree that glassjaw was genre defining, I think I can find a lot of sources of modern post-hardcore bands citing glassjaw as their main influence. However, I am not changing that back until I find sources, but I did add a better intro and cleaned up some spelling issues. --Localdistortion 21:33, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How about mentioning Detente, the band Ross played guitar in who later became Fear Of God. Its unfortunate that they don't have a page on here anymore, they were very influential with having a female singer (Dawn Crosby)in thrash metal, which was unheard of at the time & led to bands like Crisis, Otep, etc. Just a thought.--Hndsmepete 20:50, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

-Well it is mentioned briefly, I don't know anything about them however; you seem to though, so if you like you could add something about them. Try and keep it in tone with the article and the usual stuff! Olliemilne 21:49, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
