Fair use rationale for Image:Ross-83.jpg[edit]

Image:Ross-83.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Needs major cleanup[edit]

Unsourced speculation[edit]

An IP editor restored this paragraph from an earlier version: "Marred by a poor selection of first singles with the exotic, "Pieces of Ice", the album remains one of the most controversial in her body of work. It has been rumored that it was once a double album. That is hard to envision considering that the album clocks in just a little over 30 minutes. A better selection would have been "Let's Go Up" coupled with a great performance of the song during her Central Park concert and then on Tonight Show a few days later."

None of this is encyclopedic content, hence its removal. A reliably sourced reference to the notion that this was conceived as a double album would certainly be interesting, but I'm not aware of that fact showing up in any properly-researched Ross or Motown reference work. The opinion on single selection is just that -- an opinion -- and not notable unless it can be sourced to a reliable critic. Gusworld (talk) 05:53, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
