American Eagle crash[edit]

Would the crash of a small commuter aircraft (the American Eagle plane) thirteen or fourteen years ago still be notable? Perhaps this is no longer an important item of knowledge about Roselawn? Would all agree to its graceful removal? Xenophon777 (talk) 17:34, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It would still be notable, considering 68 people died in the accident. I even found a tribute video on YouTube. What if I could put a 'See Also' section on this article and add the link to the American Eagle crash article? And003 (talk) 07:20, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure that it's terribly relevant to Roselawn. It has no real lasting effect on Roselawn today, and is almost more like something which would go in a [discouraged] "Trivia Section." That the crash would be "trivia" is not meant to trivialize the tragedy, pain, and loss of the passengers, their families, American stockholders... (genuinely)... but it really doesn't have much to say or add about Roselawn. I'd think it a whole lot more relevant in an article on commuter airline crashes in the US, or on lists of such crashes. On the other hand, if you have non-original-research citations to articles on a lasting effect on the town, then that might by all means be different, IMHO.
