Question? RootsMagic article deletion[edit]

Excuse me but is it an automatic thing you are meant to do when a new article is created? For the last few days I have asked for a review of the article and received no response so I moved it from my userspace. What is the correct way of doing it? Should I have waited. The program is very notable, did you read the article and check each of the references? Narracan3824 (talk) 22:28, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the AFD. Rootsmagic is well known. Narracan3824 you might want to mention & link that family origins was retired(along with a number of other genealogy programs -need a list added to the ftm ) by the same companies (ancestry etc) to concentrate on ftm(family tree maker) . And Happy New Year. gioto (talk) 00:12, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I was already looking at adding FTM version history to the ftm article Narracan3824 (talk)

"Best" Awards in 2013[edit]

I'm new to helping edit in the WP RootsMagic page/article. Has this already been entered? "The awards keep coming in. Just 3 months after winning its 4th straight GeneAward for Best Genealogy Product of the Year, RootsMagic has won not one, but two 2013 About Genealogy Readers’ Choice Awards!" (from the blog site for RootsMagic.)[1] -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 13:23, 14 October 2013 (UTC) PS: Also, I see there is no Wikipedia page for Bruce Buzbee.[reply]

Operating systems listed[edit]

The box on the right side has Windows, OSX, Android and iOS listed. But, is that really accurate? Yes, they've got a Windows version. Yes, they've got a Mac package in development and are currently shipping a Mac "version" which comes with a wrapper to run it inside OSX. But, the mobile versions are not true fully working copies. They are only viewers, which allow a person to see their info. They CANNOT edit their information.Robertjm (talk) 18:26, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Features[edit]

This section sounds like it was cut and pasted from a promotional website. PurpleChez (talk) 17:24, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That section has been there for more than five years. It was originally placed under the heading "Version 5 Enhancements" (it's now on V. 7), and at some point simply switched to "Features". It's not so much from promotional media as being straight from the instructions. Probably does need some cleanup, though I think it would be better to see it rewritten then simply eliminated. --- Couillaud 19:09, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
