After more injuries to Jaws in 1986, Cunningham remained the starter and the team did not re-sign Jaworski at season's end.

Could anyone fill in the reasons behind Jaworski's departure from the Rams in 1977. I remember some controversy and would like to reconcile with my memory.

Ron Jaworski

I am a personal lifelong friend of Ron Jaworski, since we wre 12 years old. I stood up for his and Liz's wedding, he was to stand up for mine and wife Alic'e August 31st, 1974, but was with LA Rams then and couldn't. Actually Ron,s very first broadcast esperience was with me, doing play by play of USSR vs United States basketball game in Buffalo Aud., I think in 74 or 75 but before 76, Ron had an afro hairdoo, my friend Frabk Stuart was the color man, we worked the game for International Cable, owner then Mr. Peter Gilbert, desceased, once oiwned Colorado NHL team also, was Cable pioneer ans was I, doing a full slate of Jigh School spots, football, friday and saturdays,basketball,baseball,amateur sports, starting in 1974,unreal,now everyone does it, I,m still doing it part time For Time Warner Cable in Buffalo area and have since 1974, also still with Frank Stuart.
