Merger proposal[edit]

I suggest that this page be merged with Bishopric of Verdun. They both consist primarily of a list of bishops. I have no suggestion as to which should be merged to which, except that this page contains slightly more information. Peter Flass (talk) 12:22, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps Roman Catholic Diocese of Verdun is about the ecclesiastical history and Bishopric of Verdun is about the secular governance of Verdun by the bishops, but this should be clarified and the overlap of the lists of bishops eliminated. Peter Flass (talk) 14:26, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I merged the list of bishops from here into Bishopric of Verdun. To make up I added a paragraph on founding and early history of the Diocese. I'm not sure this is the best arrangement, but at least it eliminates duplication. Peter Flass (talk) 23:29, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
