earlier cardinals from this see[edit]

Elevation[edit]

Is there any source supporting Lyon's elevation to Archdiocese during the end of the 2nd century? According to GCatholic (which was the only source I could find), its status as archdiocese comes from the confirmation of Rome's jurisdiction over the West in 325. ―Eduardogobi (talk) 19:51, 8 April 2021 (UTC)^[1][reply]

Oi Eduardo- You may have already tried this, but just in case: fr.wp makes the same assertion, and cites a page on catholic-hierarchy.org as its source. That page lists sources at the bottom. Hope this leads you to something useful. Eric ^talk 23:38, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
