Surveyor of the Imprimery[edit]

L'Estrange came up with some cracking quotes that illustrate classic establishment opposition to printing as a democratiser of knowledge. I can't find any online sources right now but the below book has some great ones on p.92. Sorry I haven't time to add more info. Briggs, A. & P. Burke 2002.
