musicians on Don't Make Me Wait Too Long[edit]

The page used to say

  • Stevie Wonder - backing vocals, all instruments on "Don't Make Me Wait Too Long"

but that song has bass and guitar, which Stevie Wonder doesn't play, and it also has strings.

So who plays the killer bass line? In comments on YouTube, kevingimmemusic wrote:

This is Nathan Watts on Bass. Stevie doesn't play guitar or bass. Same guy that played bass on everything by Stevie since 75-76 on songs in the Key of Life. It should be in the album credits as well. Nathan also played a similar style on Do I Do. Again, Stevie is beyond words but he plays synth bass like this, not an actual bass. This ain't nobody but Nate!

The overall credits for the album don't list Nathan Watts on bass, here or on discogs. But the latter claims the album credits include "An Extra Special Thanks To: Stevie Wonder, Nate Watts, Dennis Davis, Rick Zunigar". I think that's good enough to list Nathan Watts, so I did so, and switched Stevie Wonder to "backing vocals, drums, and keyboards".
