The result of the move request was: Moved to Robert Templeton (American artist). Notability seems to check out. I performed some cleanup and tagging. — Twas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 15:23, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Timtempleton/Robert TempletonRobert Templeton (artist) — This is a new page and I am a new user.—Timtempleton (talk) 01:29, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not yet - the article needs more work, particularly reliable sources to support notability. Also, there may be conflict of interest issues here, given the user name of the creator. If it is moved, the title should be Robert Templeton (artist) as there is already an article at Robert Templeton. Move request amended accordingly. – ukexpat (talk) 16:03, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding removal of "Citation needed" tags[edit]

This article has been written with personal knowledge of the subject, along with input from the subject's widow. First person anecdotal information is a big part of the article, but due to the fact that over 40 years have passed since most of these events, and these events occurred before significant Internet archiving, there are few if any third party sources to validate the information.

I'd like to clean the article up by removing as many of the "Citation needed" tags as possible. Can we include a blanket citation - something along the lines of "Oral history - subject's widow", or do I have to change the wording to say "according to the artist's widow" for every one, and somehow post an interview with the widow on the Internet, as reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timtempleton (talkcontribs) 23:36, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure - COI editing[edit]

I'm posting here to visibly disclose a conflict of interest with this subject. I'm the artist's son and this was the first article I did several years ago, before I even knew what COI editing was. Some of the info is anecdotal, having been relayed to me by my mother, the artist's widow, but I tried to mark statements needing citations when appropriate. I've also been going to some of the articles about the subjects of my father's art, and adding my father's portraits of them, to improve the articles and enhance readers' enjoyment of Wikipedia. In the future, should there be additional media coverage of my father through exhibitions or other events, I will recuse myself and post a request here for editing help.Timtempleton (talk) 23:05, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
