Pony Express?[edit]

The cited JSTOR article states that "[a]t the age of 20, he moved to Montana where he made a living for nearly two decades as a miner, businessman, explorer, and, for a short time, rider for the Pony Express." The Pony Express only operated for two years while he was a very young child. Kablammo (talk) 21:09, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the assertion. I cannot find anything supporting an assertion that the Pony Express operated then, or in Montana. Kablammo (talk) 21:34, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have now found one source that mentions a separate "Pony Express" service (which is not mentioned in our existing article on the Pony Express). That source is found here. According to this (commercial) site, this northern route ended in May 1868, when Williams would have been eight years old. Kablammo (talk) 22:40, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
