In 1830, he owned 3 slaves. In 1840, he owned 14 slaves. In 1850, he owned 13 slaves.

These slave-tallies are often quoted with no relation to anything before or after. What are they trying to prove? They sound like penalty-points on your driving licence. Valetude (talk) 19:55, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
