This fine school is a part of Harrison County Schools. The school serves a vast majority of the city of Clarksburg, along with the towns of Nutter Fort, and Stonewood. It is one of six public schools in Harrison County. The institution opened in 1995 as a consolidation of Washington-Irving , which is now Washington-Irving Middle School, and Roosevelt-Wilson school . The current student enrollment is 880. The principal is Leon Pilewski. The school's colors are blue and green, and their mascot is the eagle. It has a large student council and an amazing staff. It currently offers more than 15 sports and JROTC. Its rival school is the indians, Bridgeport High.

Robert C. Byrd recently got rid of their Theater classes upsetting many students.
